The purpose of BIPWA is to ensure our members and the sector we represent exceed the regulatory and safety demands of the supply chain and that they continue to conduct business that adds value to the UK health economy.
When was BIPWA created?
BIPWA was set up on the 1st November 2011
Is any information of BIPWA members ever given out?
All members of BIPWA have a confidentiality agreement when signing up. No information is given out to any third party unless permission is requested by the board. Please be aware that the anonymity of our members is vital for BIPWA and we pride ourselves on protecting the identity of our members.
How Can BIPWA help you?
Whether you’re a pharmacist, Pharmacy owner or patient BIPWA is here to help.
We exist to make sure you get the medication you have a legal right to obtain. As a Pharmacy/Pharmacist you have an obligation to your customers and the local area to stock the medication that is needed.
We help you to get that medication
As a patient you need drugs to help keep you healthy, and in some case, even survive. BIPWA was created to not only do everything possible to try and obtain those medicines for you but we also raise awareness for the UK drug shortage in order to make sure you have a secure supply of medication for the future.
How can BIPWA affect the future of the NHS?
It has been estimated that within the next 50 years, the NHS will not exist due to rising pharmaceutical costs and the direction the world economy is heading in.
As well as trying to obtain medications for pharmacies and patients all over the UK, BIPWA also attempts to increase awareness in regards to the future of the NHS. Parallel trading is one of the few industries left where the UK has a foothold in the exporting of goods.
BIPWA is trying to make sure the UK economy doesn’t collapse through the halting of Pharmaceutical trade within the EU.
